1. Use EFT to Reduce Your Stress Hormones:

EFT, or "Tapping" has been gaining attention in therapy, coaching, and even clinical spaces for its potential to alleviate stress and anxiety. Studies have shown that EFT can significantly lower levels of cortisol, a stress hormone that plays a crucial role in emotional regulation.

  • Overgeneralization makes you see one negative event as part of a never-ending pattern of defeat.
  • A Mental Filter causes you to focus on the negative, darkening your overall perspective.
  • Disqualifying the Positive leads you to dismiss positive experiences, reinforcing a negative mindset.
  • Jumping to Conclusions and “Mind Reading” happen when you assume the worst without evidence.
  • Fortune Telling convinces you that bad outcomes are guaranteed.
  • Magnification or Minimization makes you blow things out of proportion or downplay important aspects of yourself or others.
  • Emotional Reasoning tricks you into thinking your feelings reflect reality.
  • Should Statements make you feel guilty or frustrated with yourself and others.
  • Labeling and Mislabeling put harsh labels on yourself or others based on a single event.

Lastly, Personalization leads you to take responsibility for things outside your control. Learning to recognize and challenge these patterns can help you see things more clearly and feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions.
